Welcome to Cavendish Town Elementary School!

Welcome to a new school year! Whether your family is new to CTES or returning for another year, I’m so glad you're here.

One of the things I love most about Cavendish Town Elementary School is that we're a small school where people truly know and care about one another. Our size gives us the opportunity to build strong relationships with our students and families, and we work hard to make sure every child feels safe, supported, and excited to come to school each day.

Our teachers and staff are passionate about helping children learn and grow, not just academically, but socially and emotionally as well. We celebrate each child's strengths while encouraging them to try new things, work through challenges, and become kind, confident learners.

As your principal, I feel incredibly lucky to be part of this community. My family and I are proud to call Cavendish home, and my daughter will be starting third grade here this year. That makes this school extra special to me because I'm not only the principal, I'm a CTES parent too! I care deeply about making our school a place where every child feels welcomed, valued, and excited to learn.

Our Family/Student Handbook is full of helpful information about our school, including routines, expectations, and procedures. I encourage you to take a few minutes to look through it and keep it handy throughout the year. If you ever have questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.

We believe that when families and schools work together, great things happen for kids. Throughout the year, we'll stay connected through email, our weekly family newsletter, and our school website. Please make sure your contact information is up to date in PowerSchool so you don't miss important announcements.

I also hope you'll find ways to be part of our school community. Whether it's attending an event, volunteering when you can, or supporting our Parent Teacher Group (PTG), your involvement helps make CTES such a special place.
